Job Summary:
Padua Franciscan High School is seeking a dedicated and professional short-term (6 weeks) Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, the Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), demonstrate a friendly and helpful demeanor, and have a passion for working in an educational setting. Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors, students, parents, and staff in a warm and friendly manner.

Answer incoming calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.

Provide information and assistance to visitors, parents, and students regarding school policies, events, and general inquiries.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Collaborate with the administrative team to distribute important documents, forms, and announcements to staff, parents, and students.

Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as photocopying, filing, data entry.

Assist with special projects and events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and other school functions. May require some evening and weekend hours.

Maintain knowledge of school policies, procedures, and events to provide accurate information and address inquiries effectively.

Uphold the values and mission of Padua Franciscan High School in all interactions and activities.

Maintain office supplies inventory, ordering and restocking as necessary.

Tracking incoming and outgoing deliveries
Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or relevant certification is a plus.

Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional phone and in-person demeanor.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using standard office equipment, such as computers, printers, copiers, and telephone systems.

Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems quickly.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Knowledge of Catholic traditions, values, and practices is desirable.
