Padua’s two-week long Drama Camp culminated with weekend performances June 24th and June 25th of the hit Disney musical, The Descendants. The story about the offspring of famous Disney villains who are offered an opportunity to attend school alongside the children of their sworn enemies features beloved characters and hit songs from the popular Disney Channel films. The newcomers are challenged when they must decide if they want to carry on their parents’ wicked ways or choose a better path. The students in grades 6-12 worked on acting skills, singing, dancing, stagecraft, and lighting under the direction of Padua’s Mrs. Tamara Plaster and Ms. Kira Seaton, a member of Tri-C West’s music faculty. The story of redemption and good overcoming evil was enjoyed by packed houses each night. A special thanks to Padua’s faculty, alumni, and current students who helped make the camp such a successful and fun experience for our future Bruins, six of whom were children of Padua alumni! Great job Bruins!
