Freshman Franciscan Pillars Retreat Day 2024

The Class of 2028 participated in the Franciscan Pillars Retreat Day at the Jesuit Retreat Center. They explored the four Franciscan Pillars of Padua: We pray. We care. We serve. We bring peace. Students learned about these pillars through games, activities, and projects. Freshmen explored various prayer forms, participated in a creation walk, and learned about teamwork and peacemaking.

Freshmen received their Tau cross necklaces during a special ceremony. Principal Bob DiRocco and Chaplain Friar Johnpaul Cafiero distributed the crosses, which are a key symbol of what all Franciscans are called to be—followers of Christ. Freshmen were reminded that they are known and loved…and that everyone has a cross to bear, but they will never carry it alone.
