Over the last four years, the Class of 2025 has left an indelible mark on the Padua Franciscan High School community.
From their spirited Olympic Day participation to record-breaking showings across multiple sports and thrilling performances on the stage with instrumental, vocal or theatrical events, these students have made the most of their opportunities at Padua and earned their recognition.
On Friday, May 23, 2025, the Class of 2025 was honored for their achievements at Padua’s annual Senior Awards Assembly.
Collectively, the Class of 2025 was offered millions of dollars in non-need-based scholarships from colleges and universities across the country. These scholarships exemplify the successes of the Class of 2025 and underscore the importance of a Padua Franciscan education.
Audrey Malcuit was honored as the Class of 2025 Valedictorian, while Jonathan Nguyen earned Salutatorian accolades. A graduate of St. Michael School, Malcuit earned a grade point average of 5.078 and will attend The Ohio State University. Nguyen is a graduate of St. Charles Borromeo School, and after earning a 4.938 GPA, plans to attend The Ohio State University. Click here to see the Top 10 in the Class of 2025.
During the assembly, the student body and faculty heard from Nguyen, who delivered his address outlining the class’s accomplishments and words of advice for the coming days and years.
“We’re almost there,” Nguyen said. “Graduation is just around the corner, and I know we’re all ready to move forward, to step into the next chapter of life. But before we look ahead and sprint, take a second and breathe.”
“These are moments we’ll look back on: The random conversations in the hallway, Senior Sunrise, Olympic Day, and the absolute chaos of the month of May. Let’s finish these last few days, not by checking out — but by leaning on each other. Let’s laugh a little harder, linger a little longer, and say all the things we’ve been meaning to say. Because high school went by fast, but the way we finish it — that’s what we’ll remember most.”
“So let’s finish this together, as proud Bruins, always rooted in happiness, healthiness, and holiness. Congratulations, Class of 2025. Let’s make the most of what’s left and leave Padua better than we found it.”
