President’s Reception & The Friar Club Induction 2025

The President’s Reception was held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in Padua’s Gym for leadership donors, alumni and friends of Padua. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and live music by Padua’s Jazz Band, under the direction of Mark Wozniak ’97.

Drew Ketvertis ’26 shared a student’s perspective on the school year and Principal Bob DiRocco discussed the state of the school. President Stec followed with an and update regarding Achieving Excellence capital campaign and an inspirational story about towering redwood trees on the west coast. “Redwoods only grow to amazing heights if they grow together, in clusters,” said Stec. “Their roots interlock beneath the surface, creating a network of support that enables them to withstand the fiercest storms. Alone, a single redwood will fall, but united, they become an unstoppable force and a magnificent sight. The trees remind us that no one stands alone. We can accomplish extraordinary things and create magnificence, especially for our current and future Bruins.” Fr. William McIntyre, OFM ended the evening in prayer.
