Bruin Named National Merit Commended Student

Padua senior Shivani Arulselvan ’26 has been named a National Merit Commended Student. A letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation was presented to Arulselvan by Principal Bob DiRocco.

Around 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise this year. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2025 competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Arulselvan is a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy.
