The Padua Franciscan High School Hall of Fame was established to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to the success of Padua in a significant way. The Hall of Fame recognizes nominees in the area of athletics, service, and volunteerism; success in their field of work; and community leadership.
Padua inducted nine outstanding Bruins into the Athletic Hall of Fame on October 10, 2024. The Athletic Award is given to a male or female who either excelled in one or more sports while at Padua or made a major impact on the school’s athletic program or local sports, enhancing Padua’s public image.
Congratulations to the 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees -- Jim Kowall ’68, John Novak ’71, Dean Supan ’78, Sheri Skedel ’89, JT Szopo ’94, Aaron Apathy ’04, Stacey (Matwijiw) Coxon ’04, Rich Ciolek and Jack Biebelhausen (posthumous). Before being presented with their award, each inductee was introduced with a video.

Awarded to a male or female who either excelled in one or more sports while at Padua or made a major impact on the school’s athletic program or local sports, leading to the enhancement of Padua’s image. The candidate (with the exception of coaches) must have graduated a minimum of ten years prior to being considered. The candidate should demonstrate ongoing concern and loyalty to Padua Franciscan High School.
Awarded to the individual (or company) who has actively worked toward the advancement of education of young people at Padua or in the Parma area. The candidate should possess a record of community service, community leadership, volunteerism, and have actively worked to promote the quality of life in Parma and the surrounding suburbs.
Awarded to a male alum who has made a major impact either in service to Padua, service to the community, or achievement in their chosen field of work.
Awarded to a female alum who has made a major impact either in service to Padua, service to the community, or achievement in their chosen field of work.
Awarded to an individual within the Padua community (not a graduate of Padua) who has made or is making a major contribution to Padua through volunteerism or other services.
