Padua President Dave Stec ’86 Announces Capital Campaign, Achieving Excellence
Thinking forward requires us to envision the Padua Franciscan of tomorrow, while not losing sight of the rich traditions upon which we are built. Padua has made many needed improvements over the years and now is the time for us to go to the next level for our school and the students we serve.
The school’s most recent strategic plan, Achieving Excellence, carefully considered the needs and challenges facing Padua in the years ahead. Achieving Excellence articulates a bold and strong vision, strengthening every aspect of our school and prompting the development of a comprehensive campus master plan. Our plan calls for the expansion of our campus facility to meet the growth and needs of an ever-changing student body. With careful consideration and years of collaborative discussions, four projects were identified, including a new competition gymnasium, a stadium pavilion, the renovation of the third floor west-wing, and a designated performing arts center. A feasibility study was conducted and provided us with valuable insights. The results of that study overwhelmingly identified the construction of a new gym and the renovation of the current gymnasium into a performing arts facility as our top priorities.
Today we surround our students with an exceptional and caring staff, outstanding academic programs, newly landscaped grounds, expanded opportunities in athletics, premier fine arts, and a special faith-based school environment all steeped in our Franciscan tradition. In order to continue to attract quality students and help them meet their full potential, these projects will strengthen Padua’s educational programs, enhance our facilities and provide the amenities expected of a premier Catholic high school.
Thank you for your unwavering support. I am truly grateful for partners like you who share our passion to take Padua to the next level, Achieving Excellence. Together, I look forward to turning this vision into a reality. May God bless you and your family...and as always, Go Bruins!
Peace and all good,
David G. Stec ’86
